  • Commonly Asked Questions About Fruit Flavored Water

While making fruit flavored water by infusing your water with fresh fruit is a relatively easy step - especially with the Define Bottle - there are still a few common questions that people find they have. Can you reuse the fruit? How long will the water last? Today we're here to answer a couple common questions so that you can feel more comfortable about your fruit infused water and enjoy its benefits.

    • How long should you let the water infuse? A great rule of thumb is to let the fruit infuse your water in the fridge for 3-4 hours and at room temperature for 1-2 hours. This will give the fruit long enough to infuse the water and achieve the desired flavor. However, if you want to plan ahead, you can even make your fruit flavored water the night before and let it infuse for up to 12 hours! However, remember that if you infuse your water for more than 4 hours, you should remove the fruit before drinking it.
    • How long will your fruit flavored water last? We suggest your drink your water the same day or by the next day. However, if you keep your infused water refrigerated, then you can keep it for up to 3 days! We do ask that you remember that fruit infused water isn't full of preservatives and it isn't pasteurized, which means that they should be consumed fresh! As a rule of thumb, citrus fruits like lemons and oranges will last longer than fleshy fruits in your infused water.
